Updates on a Confirmed Case of COVID-19 Related to our Employee

Further to our announcement on 26 February 2021 regarding our temporary office closure for thorough disinfection due to a preliminary COVID-19 case, our office has been reopened since 1 March 2021 to handle incoming mail and maintain critical operations.

The case was confirmed on 27 February 2021 after further testing by the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) and the infected employee has been sent to the hospital. We are working closely with the CHP in the management of this case and providing support to our staff as well as their families. All of our employees have taken the COVID-19 test and received negative result thus far, pending a few people’s results. CHP is leading the official contact tracing process and all staff identified as close contacts have been approached by CHP for further arrangement. 

Our critical operations will continue to be maintained to minimise the impact on the service we provide to our customers and business partners as follows:

  • Customer service hotline is operating but you may experience longer wait times than normal. Customers and business partners are welcome to contact us through email and online forms.
  • Policy administrative works, including payment and cheque issuance may be slightly delayed.
  • Fund switching instructions sent to us via email can be handled as usual according to the normal timeline. However, for fund switching instructions sent to us by post, they might be delayed.
