Standard Life teams up with tennis champion Andy Murray to promote international brand recognition.

This summer Standard Life has been celebrating the launch of its exclusive three year partnership with world class tennis player, Andy Murray.

Andy, who shares Standard Life’s Scottish origins, will wear a Standard Life logo on his playing arm, as he competes in the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments.

An inspiring athlete, Andy Murray has a personal online fan base of over seven million. In addition a combined worldwide TV audience of over 1.5 billion people tune in to watch his games.

In 2012, British tennis fans, and fans worldwide, rejoiced as Murray took the men’s singles gold medal at the London Olympics and followed up with the US Open title. In doing so, he became the first British man since Fred Perry in 1936 to win a Grand Slam singles title and the first man to win both the US Open and the Olympic men's singles gold medal, in the same year.

2013 saw Murray break another Fred Perry record when he became the first British man to win Wimbledon since Perry’s victory 77 years beforehand.
