Base in Hong Kong, this position is a subject matter expert to provide proactive first line human capital consultation and advice to business managers on people-related matters.  The incumbent will have to demonstrate sound knowledge on a diverse range of people initiatives including workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations and engagement, performance management, organization design, talent development and succession planning. 

• Custodian on talent acquisition management, responsible for management of recruitment system, delivery of MI report, recruitment partners’ performance and service agreements etc.
• Work in close relation with colleagues in People Function and hiring managers, advise the most effective solutions on talent sourcing, resource planning and job requirements.
• Play a key role to understand the resourcing implications and translates that into an effective hiring plan with priorities and measures of success.
• Advise the most effective attraction, selection and assessment approach on talent sourcing.
• Report regularly on the agreed resourcing plan with clear accountabilities to ensure actions taken are aligning with business requirements.
• Comply with local legislation and regulatory expectations, support the business to ensure day-to-day recruitment and selection is fair and lawful.
• Proactively review and revamp the on-boarding program to ensure we provide an impressive first 90-day on-boarding journey to new joiners.
• Work with colleagues in People Function in managing people related activities throughout their first 90-days (e.g. contract preparation, creation and management of employee records, HRIS system, pre-employment screening, right to work, probation assessment documents, etc.) and during the employment lifecycle.
• Provide proactive consultancy service to employees and line managers in the delivery of people-related initiatives throughout the employment lifecycle (e.g. talent acquisition, workforce planning, talent retention, employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, talent management, succession planning, performance management, etc.).
• Proactively build up strong relationships with key stakeholders and people managers to facilitate productive working environment and to maximize overall organizational effectiveness.
• Support the business in managing risks and ensure compliance with internal policies and external legislation/regulation in order to minimize the cost and effort that may result from errors and poor people management practices.
• Support the business in the management of employee engagement ensuring there is alignment with the business direction with effective tracking mechanism and intervention.
• Resolve people conflicts arising in execution of the business plan.
• Support Chief People Officer in driving business-wide people plan which is aligned with the strategic direction of the business.

• University graduate or above
• 8 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 5 years at similar capacity
• Sound knowledge in Hong Kong Labour Ordinance, MPF Ordinance and employment related statutory legislation
• An effective communicator, listener and a change agent with high energy level and positive mindset
• Excellent communication and consultancy skills (e.g. diagnosis of business issues, design and delivery of solutions)
• Solid hands-on experience with ability to work independently
• Understands the interplay between organizational structure, culture, policy and process
• High level of integrity with positive attitude and an ability to work under pressure
• Excellent time and project management capabilities
• Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Chinese Word processing
